When playing a Zerg vs Protoss match, it can get really frustrating if you are not aware of proper starcraft 2 strategies to counter the Colossus and Immortals. A good Protoss strategy would be to use either one or both of these when fighting versus a Zerg opponent. So Zerg player must be aware of how to handle them. Here are some tips on how to counter Protoss’s Colossus and Immortal.
Colossus is a very good unit for eliminating groups of units like Zerglings, Roaches or even Hydralisks. As a Zerg most of the time these are going to be a part of your main attack front line. So how can we take out a colossus? Infestor is what you need. This is because the Infestor has the Neural Parasite ability. This can help us control Protoss’s colossus and turn it against the opponent. Although for a short while, this duration could turn the game around. Corruptors can also be used to tackle colossus. Ensure that you keep an eye on stalkers.
Immortal is a very good opponent vs. Ultralisks. However, Immortals can also be taken down in a similar way. So what do we do? We get a speed upgrade for Zerglings. We can also use Hydralisks as they deal a with immortals really well.
A good Protoss player will normally use one of these two units when fighting versus a Zerg. So be prepared and now if you see one of these two on the enemy side, get ready for it as you know what will kill them easily.
